Brightening Dark Spaces HEARNE was our second project, following BDS BRYAN. Hearne is in Robertson County which includes Franklin, Calvert, and Bremond. We refurbished one space in the Robertson County Cedar Street CPS/DFPS office. We raised $1,000 for that space.

Through BDS HEARNE, we met Christi Yackel, a CPS/DFPS Faith-Based/Community Specialist of Region 07. Later, Christi nominated Brightening Dark Spaces for the Certificate of Appreciation from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. We received this award in April of 2023.
