Where we meet shapes the discussions we have.
Brightening Dark Spaces is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization assisting in and supporting the refurbishment of Child Protective Services/Department of Family and Protective Services office visitation spaces to bless children in the child welfare system.
What does it mean to bless, advocate for, and support children in the child welfare system? Even if you are not in a position to be certified to have foster children placed in your home, there are still opportunities to support them. By partnering with us to create trauma-informed spaces in your county's CPS/DFPS office, you are reducing the trauma of children during visitations.
How can we bless those who advocate for foster children in our community? There are hundreds of individuals who play a crucial role in the child welfare system, including CPS caseworkers, CASA volunteers, child/birth-parent attorneys, and other advocates. As we refurbish visitation spaces, we're showing support to those who often feel as if they are working the system alone.
BE A LIGHT
We believe that we have the power and authority to make the darkness flee. Darkness and light cannot coexist. Job 12:22 states, "He uncovers the deeps out of darkness and brings deep darkness into light." As we strive to imitate Jesus, we should become those who shatter the darkness around us.
TODAY IS A GREAT DAY TO START MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
